Pedestrian Facilities:

Adequate pedestrian facilities along the route is severely lacking. There are footways on the bridge over the N2, but nothing beyond those limits. Considering that there are approximately 1650¹ pedestrians which cross the N2 bridge per day, formalised walkways would have been expected along the route.

Pedestrians are currently utilising the road shoulders to walk along, considering that vehicles travel along P339 in excess of 80km/hr, it is an extremely dangerous section of road.
