CONCLUDING STATEMENT

This appraisal was undertaken as per the requirements of the Road Safety Audit Manual and has identified six specific items that cause intolerable or very high-risk conditions along P339.

The appraisal team believe that these six items listed below be addressed and remedial measures be implemented as soon as possible.

• Clear overgrown vegetation along P339;

• Formalise Accesses along P339;

• Construct footpaths on both sides of P339, from the Simbithi Eco Estate up to the R102;

• Review and implement Public Transport facilities along and within the interchange precinct;

• Install Traffic signals at both ramp terminals;

• Install streetlighting within the interchange precinct.
